Sensei Chip Slade

Chip Slade has been teaching rape prevention since 2003. Chip is an AWSDA certified rape prevention instructor and the regional representative for the American Women’s Self Defense Association. He is certified through the Modern Warrior Defensive Tactics Institute as a confined area safety tactics instructor and is the head of the Bushido Judo School’s women’s self-defense program. Chip is also a skilled Judoka, holding a 1st Degree Black Belt. As of September 30th 2010, Chip is a newley appointed Police Officer of the Raleigh Police Department.

From the moment I met Sensei Stokes I was impressed with his interactions with the children in the class. My son joined, and a week later, I joined as well. The instructors and fellow students are exceptionally helpful. My son and I both enjoy the classes immensely, and my younger daughter now wants to join us.
